Medium/Heavy Truck Program Standards

MEDIUM/HEAVY TRUCK PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT FOR
ALTERNATIVE FUELS

The Medium/Heavy-Duty Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) certification areas are optional--supplemental--areas to the existing ASE/NATEF Medium/Heavy Truck Program. "Certified Master Truck Program" certification is not affected by the addition of these alternative fuels areas. Certification in CNG/LNG/LPG are dependent on a program meeting the minimum program requirements for certification for Medium/Heavy Truck, as well as those requirements specified in this Alternative Fuels Supplement.

Optional Areas for Program Certification and Hours Required
To become certified in CNG, LNG, or LPG, the program must meet the task and hour requirements for Gaseous Fuels Engine Performance (area 9), and at least one of the other optional areas.
