STANDARD 3 - LEARNING RESOURCES
SUPPORT MATERIAL CONSISTENT WITH BOTH PROGRAM GOALS AND
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO STAFF AND
STUDENTS.
Standard 3.1 - Service Information
Service information with current manufacturer's service procedures and specification data for
vehicles manufactured within the last ten (10) years should be available. This information
should be accessible to students while working in the lab/shop area.
Standard 3.2 - Multimedia
Appropriate up-to-date multimedia materials such as video equipment, transparencies, etc.
should be readily available and utilized in the training process.
Standard 3.3 - Instructional Development Services
The service of professional instructional development personnel should be used when available.
At a minimum, equipment and supplies should be available for duplication or copying printed
materials and transparencies. Instructional development personnel should conduct in-service
and/or training in curriculum and media development.
Standard 3.4 - Periodicals
Current general and technical collision repair and refinish magazines and newspapers should be
available for student and instructor use.
Standard 3.5 - Student Materials
Necessary instructional texts or pertinent material should be available for each student to satisfy
the objectives of the mode of instruction used. Basic textbooks should have copyright dates that
are not over five (5) years old; specialized textbooks should have copyright dates that are not
over three (3) years old.
